Operating times
Peak periods: 05:30-08:30 and 16:00-19:00 - Trains and buses every 12 minutes.
Off-peak times: 08:30-16:00 and 19:00-20:30 - Trains and buses every 20 minutes
Weekends and public holidays: 05:30 - 20:30 - Trains every 30 minutes, but NO BUS service
Station or door-to-door Bus Rapid Transport
Rail User Single Fare: R6.00 (If you use a bus and a train within one hour of each other.)
Non-Rail User Single Fare: R20.00 (If you use a bus and don’t also use a train within one hour.)
NOTE:
You must have at least R20 of Pay-As-You-Go value available on your Gold Card to enter a bus.
These bus fares are applicable to any Gautrain bus trip.
Fares
: There are various travel options available to Gautrain commuters. Special weekly and monthly packages are also available for regular users.
The Gautrain system operates with two train services:
Airport Service
Links Sandton to the O.R. Tambo International Airport at a cost of R100 per single trip.
All airport trains go via the Sandton station.
Sandton to the airport in only 15 minutes.
The Commuter Service
Links all the stations with the exception of the airport at various different costs.
(Example: travel time from Centurion to Sandton is 12 minutes.)
